Pediatric Dentistry

Our lead dentist Dr. Langellier at Bowtie Dental cannot help but to carry his paternal instincts into his dental practice. We are proud to be a family dentist and a child-friendly practice. Dr. Langellier and our staff are trained to provide comforting, trustworthy and friendly service to children every time.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends to have dental check-ups twice a year. Dr. Langellier recognizes that all children and their oral hygienic needs are different and will talk with you about what is best for your child.

The team here at Bowtie Dental in Grand Rapids, MI will gently examine your child’s teeth and oral tissues. Their teeth will be cleaned and polished, followed up with a possible fluoride treatment.  We do our best to keep the experience fun by allowing your child to watch television during their treatment and having them rummage through our treasure box of toys afterwards.

With regular visits and cleanings, we can help your child stay cavity free, making both your life and your child’s life much easier! Here are some things to help you at home:

  • Brush thoroughly twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste
  • Floss daily
  • Beware of frequent snacking
  • Maintain regular dental visits
  • When recommended, have sealants applied

Your child’s happiness is such a determining factor of your happiness at home, we do our best to make sure everyone is all smiles and leaving our office a happy camper.
